By: Sandra Price The
election is over and we are going to have to learn to live with
President Bush for 4 or more years.
My fears lie in a massive bomb going off in one or more of our
large cities and the government declaring a state of martial law.
If any of you can remember Are we supposed to feel safer now that President Bush is in charge? I don’t but then I’m a Fiscal Conservative not a Social Conservative so for me any chance at a limited government went out the door with the other old Conservative party. I’m
seeing a group of neocons who will not rest until Did the GOP actually vote for a One World Order Leader? Is the GOP really ready to turn over our American sovereignty to the world at this time? Did the GOP hand over total power not only of the Republican Party but the whole damn Federal Government to the neocons? I know of very few who did this and simply voted for Bush to keep gays from marrying legally. What an arrangement did they make for this ridiculous trade? Did Moral Values really play a part in their decision to vote for Bush or were many of the members of the religious right guilty as hell of breaking all the rules that Bush wanted brought into the constitution and their guilt made them do it? Last
night I heard a talk on the religious right and what they expect from
Bush now that they returned him to the Presidency.
The discussion centered on the new television series on
“desperate wives” or something like that and when the ratings for
this show were brought up it turned out the Bible belt declared it in
the top 5 as did I keep reading that we Americans must search out and destroy the Islamic terrorists but they keep moving around and we are always a day late in our bombing sprees and keep wondering where and who is the enemy. I know! It is Osama Bin Laden and why the hell he isn’t lying in pieces in a mountain ravine somewhere is unconscionable. I also know that the Iraqi people are the ones killing our troops and beheading our allies and yet we still act like we are in a holy war. I’ve
asked many Republicans if they really want to continue this war against
Islam when they realize how many Islamic Mosques are being built in our
cities in How
would we react if suddenly the Mexican Army set up a base in The Republican Party I belonged to for 50 years would never want another world war especially if it took on an entire religious group. But then the GOP I belonged to were freedom fighters based on the laws in the Constitution not in the Bible. The groups behind President Bush at this time don’t even know who we are fighting and why. They only know they want abortions and gay marriages prohibited and if they get the world war thrown in, it doesn’t matter. Well, it matters to me!!! Here’s
my main concern. If I personally found nothing of value in the Christian religion and I wonder how many others simply say they are Christians and only follow the crowd behind a man like G.W. Bush? I know
that Bush has pissed off many of us Republicans and has presented too
many actions that throw our fiscal minds nearly out of control.
The growing debt and trade deficit is ridiculous.
His giving in to President Fox of So it appears the GOP is voting for the bible and not for our American freedoms or security. So I ask again. Sadly the abortion and gay marriage issue was swallowed by the Christian coalition and they went out to all the churches and did their thing. So we are stuck with Bush for 4 years or until we are put into a state of Military control under our Federal Government and we will be forever lost to even a small piece of the Constitution. 230 years of American Freedoms is all we were able to keep before we sold it to the religious right. |
