Ugly Politics or Independence?

January 23, 2007 Tuesday morning and waiting to hear what President Bush is going to say this evening with this State of the Union Address. Will he use his time to explain all his bad decisions or will he simply change the subject and focus on his great plans to save us from ourselves.

President George W. Bush has done what no other human being on this planet has done and that is to turn me into a Democrat! Every thing this man has suggested has been an assault on the American freedoms. He has a fetish to use the power of the white house to set our personal and private morals while he himself thinks nothing of lying and manipulating America into a phony and contrived war.

Every day I wait for some strong Republican to stand up to this man and take the party back. I've searched the newspapers, the talk shows and even the internet discussion forums for a Republican who still remembers the agenda of limited government, individual freedoms and personal responsibilities. Could it be that I am the lone survivor of the 1964 Goldwater Conservatives? They weren't perfect but they understood what was meant by honest government.

Is there no other person who understands the difference between state and federal laws? Have our public schools completely overlooked the government civics classes? My political agenda has been based on individual freedoms that are unique in America. My enemies among the voters were always the Democrats who wanted a redistribution of wealth and more power to the government. In the last 6 years a movement based on Christian doctrines has removed the individual freedoms and tried to hand them over to a handful of Social Conservatives calling these freedoms "liberal."

These same Social Conservatives have changed the reputation of our Congress into a pile of the most corrupt Representatives seen in my lifetime (which is a long time) and I want change! I want the corruption to stop. I was raised in a very Christian home and learned from my reading of their books that a movement behind Jesus Christ can bring war and destruction to many people but anything done in the name of Jesus Christ is forgiven. I almost understand what drives President Bush…but not completely. Unless I missed something, he is not our religious leader; he is simply ill-equipped to be our Commander in Chief who is using Jesus Christ to cover his ass.

I love politics and looked forward to choosing my candidates from a list of Republicans and learned in 1992, we did not have a Republican running for reelection but a one world order empire-building tyrant named President George Herbert Walker Bush (41). Not a single item of the GOP agenda remained in his platform. The Republican Party became the political party of White, Christian Straight Men only!

Well the roof has fallen in on the Republican Party in the last 2 years and the truth about what the religious right is forcing on the party has and will destroy it. I have been unable to vote Republican since 1992 when I discovered the new agenda and had they not fallen in disgrace since that time, I might be able to slip back in but our current President Bush has made the Republican Party into a near inquisition of power against the people of America. Unless the GOP takes a strong return to individual freedoms, they will fall off the list of political parties able to get the signatures needed to survive.

The new popular movement for many Republicans currently in power, is to run as an Independent. Even the Republicans know that the show is over. Being pro-life will no longer cut it as the single agenda item; not when corruption took over all other facets of their end games.

Will we have to start all over breaking in another political party to suit our Constitutional Freedoms? Will we ever be able to break the chains of the Christian Coalition and learn to love Robertson, Falwell and Dobson? Will we have to ignore and set aside men like Jefferson, Madison, and Franklin? Is this the end of our Constitutional Republic and the beginning of another Christian nation based only on our military power?

Where can I go to locate the freedoms that brought my family to the new world? Have we fallen beyond repair? Where are those Independent candidates who know what is the right road to freedoms?
