I think it is time for a new group of lobbyists to be formed and stationed on "K" Street with full access to the House of Representatives and Senators. What is needed is a power group to hold the Legislators’ feet to the fire (Constitution) and insist they follow the laws or resign.

In several very expensive bills that President Bush pressured his Congress to sign, which they did even after they had indicated they might not to their constituents. I look back at the Medicare, Transportation, CAFTA bills and I shudder to think what these men would do if a serious bill was proposed such as removing us from the United Nations, or sending all bills not specifically mentioned in the U.S. Constitution back to the States as stated in the Constitution itself.

"The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people."

We have seen in the last 20 years a Federal Government totally emerged in trying to engineer our social lives and attempt to change our personal actions on a level never before tried and it seems to be verging on a police state in the making. I’m not saying Americans are perfect but our actions are seldom harmful to the country itself. I believe this desire for perfect people is simply being based on laws found in the bible, and possibly even in the Torah. We have seen what the Koran has done to the Muslim countries and often demand that almost half of the citizens of the countries to be declared second-class citizens. That is fine for them, but our U.S. Constitution tells us we are all equal in the eyes of the law.

Our current administration seem to feel that if the House and Senate would only legislate against gays marrying, and abortion be defined as murder and when and how people die left up to the government, America would be a more moral country. But does anyone look at what this would do to the freedoms of half of the American citizens?

Of course people will cry that America is a Democracy and the people should vote on all laws and yet when I read the Constitution I find that America is a Constitutional Republic run by elected representatives from each Congressional district (determined by a census taken every 10 years) and two Senators from each state. They are elected by the number of votes they received when their terms are up for renewal. Americans have been living successfully under this system of government for nearly 230 years.

A very damaging influence started during President Bush 41’s term when a group of One World power players decided that we needed a new kind of President; a war president who would take over the middle east and allow us the use of all their oil. Their plans were all worked out except their candidate lost to W.J. Clinton.

They kept a close eye on the voter’s responses to Clinton’s actions and found the one issue that would bring in their war President. Clinton’s promiscuity annoyed the religious right and they wanted to do something about it. They gathered behind the Impeachment and went out in record number to register to vote; it would be a vote for Jesus if they could only bring in a born-again Christian to the White House. They needed a man of low intellect because they knew that a smart man would never go along with the plans of Falwell, Robertson and Weyrich. They also needed a man who could claim to be a born again Christian to hide his wayward youth. A Hollywood casting director couldn’t have found a better man than G.W. Bush.

Most of us don’t realize the power of the throne in the oval office. He holds more power than any King or Queen in Europe. The problem is that when we elect a small man of no background in business but also a full-blown politician quite able to manipulate people into his corner, we have no idea what harm this small man can do.

He looks at the U.S. Constitution as most of us look at our mattress labels that tell us not to remove them. His handlers have told him to sell the bible to the people of America and they would handle everything else. In order to win the 2000 election Candidate Bush had to make a deal with the devil. In this case the devil was a trio of Christian Ministers and they were only too eager to support him if he would promise a couple of powerful Amendments to the Constitution. Back in 1999 we called them the Sin Amendments and they started out as two and grew to the point that not even the unholy 3 (remember Falwell, Robertson and Weyrich?) would sanction.

To ban gambling would ruin the Stock Market. To ban alcohol would bring back the criminals (whoops, they never left and switched from alcohol to drugs). They couldn’t ban drugs because that was already in the works. The buying and selling of Drugs in America has never been higher since the War on Drugs! They wanted to ban prostitution but that really should be a state’s law and they backed away. I wonder how many congressmen have visited Las Vegas and ended up on one of their whore houses. Better not ask. Anyway the list went on and on and on. When Alan Keyes got into the primary the list took off even higher and became totally out of control. They made for some great cartoons in the NY Times.

So what did Bush promise the unholy three? A Prohibition on gays marrying because it would put all marriages in jeopardy. How any institution with a 50% failure rate can be in jeopardy is a laugh. Abortions must be prohibited. The religious right called in hundreds of attorneys to try and find a loop hole in the Constitution that would remove Roe v Wade. This has gone on for 5 and a half years and due to the number of abortions done within the government, it has never reached the state of Prohibition. Bush backed down on this subject to the public but we all knew it was stewing on the back burner…….

The third promise was developed by psychologists to rip the heart strings out of all religious people and even some Atheists. Tiny live babies in frozen test tubes, just waiting for a chance to grow into little American voters would be destroyed when those nasty scientists used them for research on silly diseases like MS, MD, spinal injuries and dozens of other horrifying diseases. You could even hear them screaming when they were being thawed out and made into something useful. If one of these religious nuts ever saw a grown man die of Lou Gehrig’s disease they wouldn’t be able to stand the sight of what a disease can do to a man. Many of these nuts believe God punishes the sinners through disease. Falwell himself stated that 911 was from God to punish gays and whatever was in his mind.

During the 5 years of the Bush Administration, the Constitution has taken a terrible jolt. From the day of the Inauguration in 2000 Bush was totally immersed in passing out Federal Grants to the churches with his faith-based grants. His next assignment was to find husbands for single mothers because everyone knew they were all tramps anyway.

Many of the American people asked him to look at the open borders because our states were filling up with illegal people from the south that somehow became eligible for our benefits. We discovered that these illegals were being delivered by ambulances so we could pay for their hospital costs. All our pleas for this terrible problem fell on dead ears.

Many Americans also had been studying and researching the Islamic terrorists that had already tried to bring down one of the twin towers and had taken out several American embassies overseas. We had our ship nearly blown out of the gulf in the Middle East and Bush was worried about how to test the children to see just how dumb they were.

Even though there was something like 147 memos sent to D.C. telling of a potential terrorist attack in America, Bush concerned himself with trying to eliminate the morning after pill. There are thousands of Americans who believe he knew all about the attack and was safely out of DC the morning of 911.

We sent troops to Afghanistan and nearly 90% of the American people cheered him for this action. Cheering a man of Bush’s problems is like feeding sugar to a diabetic. He figured that if he was a good person for going into Afghanistan, why not go into Iraq? He requested and received an open checkbook from the Congress to go get whatever he wanted and that started this mess we find today in Iraq.

He needed more control and redesigned an old document that Clinton had put together in case of an emergency called The Patriot’s Bill and then to give it roots the Homeland Security Agency. Both of these programs ripped out a huge portion of the Bill of Rights and all Americans became suspects dealing in treason.

Had there been an American Lobby standing by, the whole Patriot’s Bill and Homeland Security Agency would have been cut to ribbons due to the impact on American freedoms. Our Legislative Branch of the Government fell on its knees praying for the success of their religious leader and American has fallen prey to too many outside influences that will continue to eat away at our country for years to come.
