Any Future for the GOP?

Last night President Obama stated that he did not plan on building federal programs for more control over the American people.  This has been the threats by the Social Conservatives since President Bush 43 was elected in 2000.  President Clinton’s adulterous affairs in the White House brought out irate members of the religious right to legislate moral behavior by our elected officials.  Bad move, boys!

The inevitable consequences were that the promises from the Social Conservatives were not only unable to surface but the entire Republican Party fell apart.  The Congress and the White House were exchanged from the Republicans to the Democrats.  Why didn’t the RNC learn from this and relax their ridiculous attempts to ban on abortions and gay marriages?  Instead they took us into a war based on lies.

I remember when the GOP stood for a limited government, not a crusade to control the American morals.  I remember GOP meetings where discussions of downsizing the Federal government to return to the 10th Amendment of restricting the Congress from taking over the personal decisions of the Americans and leave it to the states.

There is a pattern here that has been tried all over the world and failed.  This interference from the churches into the government without respect for the individual has destroyed the freedoms of many nations when the churches begin to issue laws over everyone.  In America every citizen has the freedom to attend any religious service or none.  Jehovah’s Witnesses know better than to try and legislate against blood transfusions and Christian Scientists would never try to ban medical services.

The Social Conservatives destroyed the Republican Party with their opinions that life begins at conception.  Until they stay out of these kinds of personal and private choices, the party will fail.  This bothers me as I used to be a Republican.  I felt there could be some relief from the intrusion of Big Daddy but President Bush took the White House and made it his own.  He warned us he would when he admitted he was a born-again Christian.  He failed to show anything but failure.  He  lit a candle of revolution and a crusade against freedom of choice.  How sad to see people lined up to promote government issued prohibitions again.

America is going through a moral decline and a failure of a strong family authority.  The children are being raised by women who are not educated to handle this without proper income.  I faced this myself and worked many jobs to keep my kids fed and sheltered.

The voters have decided to give up the GOP who they felt abandoned them.  The many years of Republican leadership brought corruption and an out-of-control emphasis on making money for those who were already rich.  Hey! I’m a capitalist and did some investment to also make a profit but the greed from users of Wall Street wiped me out.

It was the country club Republicans who defeated Senator Goldwater and any chance of a fiscal conservative for the RNC.   Until the religious right gets out of the GOP, it will never again appeal to anyone other than the racist homophobic rednecks in the South.  Sorry, but this is the truth.  They can’t even find a leader to try and bring the party back but they are lining up behind Fox News, Rush Limbaugh, Glen Beck, Counter and Malkin to attempt to destroy the Liberals.

I’ve been rudely called a RINO since 1992 when I rejected President Bush 41 for trying to head the GOP into a One World Empire.  The GOP deserves to fail.  I’ve never voted for a Democrat because I kept my fiscal conservative agenda.

Third party anyone?
