Excuse me, but what exactly is everybody so excited about with President Bush? What has he done to promote freedom and liberty? Or are these old fashioned desires too much for most of us to hope for? Okay, I know he is a neat fellow and 100% better for America than Gore! Don't bother to remind me! What scares me is the tactics that he is using to sell his wares to us. I would first of all like to know what those wares are! What I am seeing so far in his programs is a potential continued membership in the United Nations! He is being very brave in issuing some statements that would remove many of the environmental issues that are being sold to us as the only way to keep the oceans from taking over our lands. That any thinking American can buy this is amazing! Of course, not all of us do. Alan Caruba wrote a wonderful article on this subject and certainly down plays the "greens" and their propaganda! See: How far will Bush go? Enough to declare our sovereignty in the world? I don't think so. His continued association with "free trade" concepts of government will soon be made clear. Has anyone bothered to look at the trade deficit that Americans are being led blindly into? Who is allowed to take such an unfair advantage of our local businesses? China, of course! Reed R. Heustis, Jr. has a great article on this subject. Take a look: The Selfish Worship of Global Wealth Don't get me wrong, I am a great believer in free trade but it should be a fair trade as well. Why are we pussyfooting around with Communist China anyway? Why are we allowing our diplomats to cut such a deal in our agreements that put America in such a deficit? This is "conservative" thinking? The next big discussion seems to be the problems with funding matched grants to support religious groups. If anyone cares to list all the not for profit groups in America that will be eligible, they should do this now before we ruin our economy sending money to some odd-ball holy rollers living on the money of innocent Americans. Why is this even being discussed? Could it be his payola to the religious right for funding his election? How do we weed out the phonies? Do we even bother to try? American Education is probably the biggest joke in the country. Spending billions to test the stupidity of the students is not what any real educator would want. Oh, it will take the attention away from the real problems so the teachers union will back these tests on a yearly basis. Any good private school would be able to fix the problem in a minute. It's called classroom structure! It's called removing social engineering from the school and spending time on the academic classes. Too simple, wouldn't possibly work, so let's test and test and test until the problem becomes so bad that our teachers won't be able to read either. The American public is now outraged at the color of the berets being worn by our Armed Service personnel. President Bush decided not to back the various colors that have been worn and has set this on the back burner. Where is the outrage that our servicemen and women are not properly armed? Could it be that our armies will soon be under the command of the United Nations and all hats will be powder blue? If this happened, how many of us would even care? We don't have a conservative government in Washington DC, we have a shadow government feeding the media with nonsense about what the great Bush is doing! What is he doing about China? Panama Canal?, Long Beach? and about a thousand other problems facing America this morning? Will he wait until it is too late for America to stand tall and independently? Will he wait until China makes her well documented move onto Taiwan? Will he act like a real leader? or will he send Powell over to the United Nations and plead for help? Folks, there is no conservative in Washington DC. The only chance this country has is in the House elections in 2002. Are we prepared to replace the spineless wimps with real Americans? The POTUS is only a symbol! The United States House of Representatives is where the power is and we should wake up and fix it. I believe it is time for the American voter to stop buying into the bullshit that is coming our of Washington DC and start making their own lists of what they expect out of the White House, House and Senate. Do we really want to remove the financial backing of our independent American businesses? Do we want to remove any chance of new energy systems to be built in this country to save our environment? This is the greatest lie ever sold to the American public. Thank you Clinton/Gore/Sierra Club and all the rest. They are a fraud!!! Are we prepared to live with uneducated Americans trying to survive in a world made up of technology standards that our students can't read or understand? Is there no effort to organize a few emails to the white house, house/senate members? Do we lose another 8 years of potential for real change because we like the cut of Bush's hair or the twinkle in his eye? The problem is clear. He made no real promises, and so we can't hold him to a damn thing. We handed him the power base he needs, but can't touch the actions that he will take. I fear we are in for a rough 4 years. |
